Bison Tacos
  • 1 pound of thawed ground bison
  • olive oil to coat pan and flavor
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • .5-1 Tbsp of fresh chopped garlic
  • 1 Tbsp of cumin
  • .5-1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1-2 tsp of oregano

Coat pan with olive oil. Place meat with fresh chopped garlic in pan. Add spices while meat is cooking. Break apart meat into small chunks while cooking. Cook meat until brown throughout. Serve with rice, beans, tortillas or lettuce wraps. Garnish with cilantro, tomato, guacamole, and sour cream.​
Bison Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 pound of thawed ground bison
  • olive oil to coat pan and flavor
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • .5-1 Tbsp of fresh chopped garlic
  • 1-2 jars of spaghetti sauce

Coat pan with olive oil. Place meat with fresh chopped garlic in pan. Add spices while meat is cooking. Break apart meat into small chunks while cooking. Cook meat until brown throughout. Add jars of sauce to meat and stir together. Bring sauce to boil. Serve over pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables.​

Bison Burgers
  • 1-2 pounds of thawed bison meat
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-2 Tbsp. of olive oil
  • Spices/rub of choice (optional)

In a large bowl mix meat, oil, and spices together. Grab a chunk of meat and roll in hands until a ball shape. Then flatten to form a patty​. Grill on BBQ until brown on the outside and pink on the inside. Garnish with cheese, lettuce, tomato and bun (or large lettuce pieces for a gluten-free/healthy alternative.
